Press Release (newsgroups)

This was sent out over newsgroups in 3/04.

Hello, writers!

pseudoSF seeks well-written sf story submissions for our Summer 2004 issue. Writers are paid $20 per published story.

the editorial slant:

pseudoSF is looking for interesting, lively and fun sf stories. They must have a sf idea and a plot: everything else is optional. Stories with an important social message will be tolerated if they are well written and have a strong sf element. pseudoSF also publishes fantasy.

the deal:

Writers will be paid $20 per published story. pseudoSF charges nothing to readers and no download is necessary. Our free web host, Tripod, advertises on our pages.

Works other than stories (illustrations, cartoons, &c.), if published, will probably be paid up to $20.

ezine description:

At this time, pseudoSF is published strictly in html format because it's cheap.

ezine blurb:

While advertisers continue to spurn the printed word and true sci-fi thrashes through its heat-death, publishers of classic mags like Fantasy and Science Fiction focus increasingly more on popular "character oriented" Deanna Troi-type fiction. That, apparently, is what people want to read; but this little online rag is for those of us who know better.

submissions:

Email submissions as attachments in RTF (rich text format), or, if you must, as plain text with no line breaks, to:

pseudosf(a)excite.com

Do not submit stories in reply to this message. We try to respond to submissions within a week or two of submission.

good thoughts,

pseudoSF.
